DeVore Appointed to CRC’s Board of Directors

John DeVore and Scott PetersAustin, Minn.—Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce that John DeVore, general manager of Lakeview Light & Power in Lakewood, Wash., was appointed to CRC’s Board of Directors at its Wednesday, July 31, special board meeting.

DeVore will fill the district 1 board seat recently vacated by Scott Peters, CEO at Columbia Rural Electric Association in Walla Walla, Wash. He will have to run for re-election to the board seat during CRC’s next board election in February 2026 to officially complete the seat’s remaining two-year term.

Peters resigned from the board in May 2025 to avoid a potential conflict of interest with another national board to which he was recently elected. Peters served on CRC’s board since 2019, serving as its board president from June 2023 to March 2025.

“On behalf of CRC, I want to thank Scott Peters for his six years of dedicated service to our board. His insights and guidance have been invaluable, and we wish him every success going forward,” said Brad Fjelsta, CRC’s president and CEO. “At the same time, we are excited to welcome John to the board. John brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to our industry. We look forward to the vision and leadership he will contribute to the board.”
