CRC Welcomes Sam Houston Electric Cooperative to its Membership
Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce Sam Houston Electric Cooperative in Livingston, Texas, recently joined its membership. Sam Houston Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving 54,000 members in parts of 10 counties in eastern Texas.
CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call handling, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services, video monitoring of substations and recently implemented a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.
In January 2015, Sam Houston Electric Cooperative subscribed to CRC’s contact center overflow services. CRC’s overflow services are utilized by those utilities that have in-house 24/7 member services and/or an IVR and dispatch their own line crews. CRC is then used in times of need when call volume is too great for a utility to efficiently handle internally.
Keith Stapleton, chief communications officer at Sam Houston Electric Cooperative, notes that the move to CRC was an easy one. “Transitioning Sam Houston Electric Cooperative’s outage overflow to CRC was a smooth, seamless process,” he explained. “And CRC’s service has been exceptional.”
Stapleton added CRC’s business model definitely complements their organization. “CRC understands electric cooperatives, because they are a cooperative. And that’s important to us,” he said. “We are confident that as our membership grows and as our service offerings increase, CRC will be fully able to meet our needs.”
Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, welcomes Sam Houston Electric Cooperative to CRC’s membership and looks forward to a long partnership. “We work very hard to serve as an extension of our members’ operations,” said Holt. “We understand the importance of customer service to our cooperative partners and appreciate Sam Houston Electric Cooperative’s trust in us to serve their membership.”
