CRC Welcomes Little Ocmulgee EMC to its Membership
Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce Little Ocmulgee EMC in Alamo, Georgia, recently joined its membership. Little Ocmulgee EMC is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving over 11,000 members in central Georgia.

In February 2015, Little Ocmulgee EMC signed on to CRC’s contact center energy dispatch services and immediately experienced a major change in service as compared to their previous after-hours solution – a designated employee taking calls at his or her home each night.
Streamlined outage management using CRCLink, CRC’s outage communication software, has been one of the most noticeable differences at Little Ocmulgee EMC since joining CRC’s services earlier this year. “In our most recent storm, several long-term employees indicated they were far less stressed after outages were restored than ever before because of CRCLink,” said Lewis Sheffield, general manager of Little Ocmulgee EMC. “By letting the system work for us through our substation/feed identifiers, we were able to restore outages despite our phone provider losing service at times due to equipment failure.”
CRC’s service excellence efforts have also stood out to the cooperative. “Without a doubt CRC offers us better customer service,” explained Sheffield. “Their agents are very professional and take excellent notes which help tremendously during an outage.”
