CRC Welcomes Rural Electric Cooperative to its Membership
Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce Rural Electric Cooperative in Lindsay, Oklahoma, has recently joined its membership. Rural Electric Cooperative is a member-owned distribution cooperative serving over 11,000 homes and businesses in five counties in south central Oklahoma.
CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call handling, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services and video monitoring of substations to its membership. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.
Dale Nye, CEO of Rural Electric Cooperative, notes joining CRC has proved to be a beneficial partnership to the cooperative. “Rural Electric Cooperative strives to provide safe, reliable, and economical electricity to our members,” he explained. “CRC provides one way to help us reach those goals.”
A severe weather event that occurred in late 2013 shortly after Rural Electric Cooperative joined CRC was a testament to CRC’s ability to seamlessly serve as an extension of its membership. “We joined CRC in December and in less than a week was hit with a severe ice storm,” Nye said. “CRC answered over 3,000 member calls, updated our outage management system, and kept in close contact with our dispatchers and line crews in order to restore power to our members. We are pleased to be working with CRC. They did a great job with very little time to learn our system.”
Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, is appreciative of the opportunity to serve Rural Electric Cooperative and its members. “It’s always our goal to partner with our membership to provide the best service possible to consumers,” said Holt. “Although experiencing outages due to bad weather is never desirable, I’m glad CRC can be of assistance to help out in any situation. We look forward to working with Rural Electric Cooperative for many years to come.”
