CRC Welcomes Southside Electric Cooperative to its Membership
Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) in Crewe, Virginia, recently joined its membership. SEC is a member-owned distribution cooperative serving over 54,000 homes and businesses within 18 counties in central and southside Virginia.
CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call handling, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services and video monitoring of substations to its membership. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.
Jeff Edwards, president and CEO of SEC, notes the cooperative was looking for a partner to assist with processing certain inbound and overflow consumer calls. “CRC, being a cooperative with vast experience in this area, was a natural fit,” he explained. “CRC processes all calls from SEC members wanting to pay their bills over the telephone. They handle all inbound calls from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. which allows SEC to reduce our dispatching expenses without degrading the level of service we provide to our members.
“CRC also handles any daytime overflow calls to ensure our members are not on hold longer than 50 seconds,” he added. “Once again, this partnership with CRC has helped improve our service to our members and reduce the costs associated with processing calls.”
Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, appreciates the opportunity to serve SEC and its membership “We’re pleased to provide an economical service solution to SEC’s call-handling needs,” he said. “We strive to work as an extension of our members’ offices to provide seamless operations any time of the day. We’re happy to partner with SEC to fulfill this critical need.”
