Southern Indiana Power Partners with CRC for Call Handling Services
Southern Indiana Power in Tell City, Indiana, recently joined the membership of Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC). Southern Indiana Power is an electric distribution cooperative serving nearly 9,500 meters in southern Indiana.
CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call management, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers dynamic greetings, outage texting services, video monitoring of substations, a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls, and English proficiency translation services. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.
Southern Indiana Power joined CRC’s contact center membership in January 2020, subscribing to its energy dispatch services which include inbound call management as well as dispatching of line crews. Ultimately it’s the cooperative principle that attracted Southern Indiana Power to CRC. By combining resources with CRC, Southern Indiana Power now has additional tools to offer its membership top notch customer service.
“Southern Indiana Power is very pleased with our new relationship with CRC,” said Steve Seibert, president and CEO at the cooperative. “One of the most exciting things about our new relationship is the ability for our electric cooperative to ‘turn on’ all of our technology. The amount of technology that can now be utilized significantly increases the communication experience for both employees and members.”
Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, appreciates Seibert’s comments and notes that sharing cooperative resources was the basis of creating CRC in the first place. “In 1992, 19 electric cooperatives joined forces to create a call center to help answer their consumers’ calls and alarms,” Holt explained. “Now, nearly 30 years later, electric cooperatives turn to CRC as trusted partner in offering them solutions to their call-handling needs. We’re happy to hear our services and the technology we provide enhances the services Southern Indiana Power offers.”
