Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC Joins CRC’s Membership

Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to welcome Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC in Bloomfield, Indiana, to its membership. UDWI REMC is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving over 19,000 meters in southern Indiana.

CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call management, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services, video monitoring of substations and recently implemented a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.

UDWI REMC joined CRC’s membership in May 2015, subscribing to CRC’s contact center dispatch services which include inbound call management as well as dispatching of line crews. The decision to utilize CRC’s services was an economic one for UDWI REMC.

“With the rising costs of benefits alone, it was a business decision,” explained Brian Sparks, CEO at UDWI REMC. “Using CRC’s services has turned out very well for the cooperative, with little to no noticeable difference in quality of service to our member owners. Thank you CRC.”

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, appreciates working with UDWI REMC to serve their membership. “Our company was built on the cooperative business model,” said Holt. “We’re glad to be an affordable partner for UDWI’s call handling needs and look forward to serving their membership.”
