Austin, Minn.—Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the six recipients of its 2015 scholarship program, each awarded $1,000 for their post-secondary education costs. This year’s scholarship recipients are as follows:

Abby Bickler is a 2015 graduate of Austin High School in Austin, Minn. Abby plans to attend Winona State University in Winona, Minn., in the fall to obtain a Psychology degree.

McKenna Gleisner is also a 2015 graduate of Austin High School. McKenna will attend Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, to pursue a business management degree.

Hunter Hawkins is a 2015 graduate of Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas. Hunter plans to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, in the fall to obtain a degree in business.

Alexandra Smith is a 2015 graduate of Austin High School. Alexandra plans to attend the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities to pursue a degree in journalism.

Nichalee White is a 2015 graduate of Abilene High School. Nichalee plans to attend Abilene Christian University in Abilene to obtain a degree in business finance and marketing.

When selecting each year’s scholarship recipients, CRC looks not only at the academic achievements of each applicant, but also his or her school and community involvement activities.

“This year we received a number of excellent applications for our scholarship program,” said Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO. “Although it’s always difficult to narrow the candidate field to six recipients, we believe the candidates chosen for this year’s scholarships represent not only high academic standards, but just as importantly a commitment to giving back to their school and their community.

In November 2014, students in the communities in which CRC has offices—Austin, Dunlap, and Abilene—were invited to apply for a 2015 CRC scholarship. The scholarship recipients were selected in May.
